3 REASONS TO GIVE

1.
It's
Biblical

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Luke 12:34)

God doesn’t need our money. He desires our hearts. And our money is linked to our hearts. Opposition to tithing often flows out of a selfish, corrupt heart. We offer partial surrender to God while trying to hold onto "our" money. Tithing opens and unites our heart to His. It’s a gift that helps us grow into His likeness. It’s not something we ‘have’ to do. It is something we ‘get’ to do.

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)

Tithing isn’t the finish line in Christian financial management. It’s the starting line. The more we tithe obediently and faithfully, the more we build the giving muscle and the more God changes us, transforming our hearts.

2.
Managers
Not Owners

God is the rightful owner of everything. All that we have, or hope to have, comes

from Him. Any money we have is God’s money, not ours. We are just managers,

stewards and caretakers of the money. Tithing is not giving God money, it’s giving

back what was His to begin with. It wasn’t put in place for God’s benefit but for

ours. It helps us keep our priorities straight and reminds us that we don’t own

anything in this life. We don’t give to get but God is a good God and even blesses

us with more if we are good managers of what we already have.

3.
Invest In
Eternity
SCROLL DOWN (2).png

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (Matthew 6:19 – 20)
What better way to invest the money God has given you to manage than to use it to invest in your eternal life and to advance God’s kingdom here on earth. Don’t be a hoarder. Be the smartest type of investor in the world. The kind that invests in eternity.
